Applicant Tracking
From I experience, I have come to a rather dastardly conclusion. That is, many companies fail to implement the system of applicant tracking in a way which would yield them maximum potential. The amount of waste that occurs can be a matter of their very survival in the long run. Specially, during these times of economic crisis when many companies are going bankrupt & there`s a class action suit filed almost every other day… it would be wise for an organization to way its options more carefully. The main hindrance to it all is even more surprising. The lack of optimum utilization does not occur on account of poor applicant tracking software. In fact, the software for recruitment which they buy is often the top of the line. Problem lies in its proper implementation & training of its manpower to extract the best out of the new software. So the new software is never able to realise its full potential. Training the staffs to make use of the latest software is a key component in the implementation process but to my disappointment has often been neglected in favour of analysis & other aspects, which forms the part of the whole process.
