Business cards are something that a lot of people take for granted, but they should be given more attention because these small hand-outs are a direct reflection on a business. When you are done speaking with someone and the other person has your card, your identity is that small piece of paper. Because of this, your card should not only contain who you are, your contact information and what you do, but it should also tell that person something about you worth remembering.

When designing your business card, be sure to use some imagination. Use some color for the background, add a catchy phrase or tag line and consider using graphics that stand out. If your card is plain and boring it will not stand out in a pile of other cards and the chances are good that it will even be thrown away. You must make your card unique.

Be sure that your font is big enough to be read by everyone of all ages. Use highlighting or larger font for the important information such as your email address and phone number. Raised font is also a great idea as this provide a tactile sense and an air of professionalism.
